The Andy Kielty School of Motoring has been open since late 2010. Since then Andy has been building up his reputation in and around the Trafford area, teaching students of all ages. Andy is a fully qualified driving instructor including instruction for the Pass Pluss, which helps bring down the cost of insurance especially for new drivers.
So far in 2011 Andy has a 100% pass rate for all of his students who have taken their driving test.

Getting Started
You need to be 17 and have a valid provisional licence to start driving.
- Get a D1 form from your local post office.
- Complete and sent to the DVLA, along with your passport or birth certificate and a passport-sized photo as ID.
If you want to get started with driving as soon as possible, you can do this by ensuring everything is sent off at least 4 weeks, but not more than 2 months, before the required date of commencement. You must not drive any car until you receive your provisional licence, which must be signed in ink when you receive it. I require to see both parts (the paper and photo card) at the start of your assessment lesson.
Instruction
As your Driving Instructor I will tailor your lessons specifically for your needs, on a one-to-one basis.
- The law requires that pupils pass the Theory test before applying to take the Practical Test.
- We can book both tests for you.
- The cost of both tests are set by the Driving Standards Agency, and the Theory Test is currently £31.00*. The cost of Practical Test is £62.00*.
- As well as the Practical Driving Test, tuition will include help towards passing your Theory and Hazard Perception examinations.
- Pupils are always briefed after all lessons to ensure progress is acknowledged.
- You will be given an Appointment and Progress Record Card, to provide a visual record of your development to date.
- Mock tests are included in your training.
- Once you pass your Driving Test, you have the option to take Pass Plus training. This will allow you to obtain more experience with driving in different conditions, on motorways, etc, to increase your confidence. Pass Plus also has the benefit of reducing the cost of insuring your car.

Pass Plus
The successful completion of Pass Plus can lead to significant discounts from participating insurers. Pass Plus involves further training to newly qualified drivers. It is backed by the government, Driving Standards Agency and participating insurers.
- The course consists of six specially designed modules (out-of-town driving, town driving, all-weather driving, night driving, dual carriageway and motorway tuition).
- There is no test to take; your instructor will sign you off, having successfully completed all the modules.
- You will then receive a certificate from the Driving Standards Agency, which entitles you to discounts from participating insurance providers.
- Pass Plus is a rewarding course aimed at developing skills and knowledge, and increasing experience and confidence.
- The savings on your insurance can easily cover the cost of the course.
